I have a 2004 GTP Comp G with about 53k miles. I have recently been having problems with the car. When I put the car in drive and start to go the RPM's drop (surge) like it is going to die. If I push on the gas nothing happens. The car will then suddenly lunge forward on its own. The problem is very sporadic and there is no check engine lights. I have replaced the fuel filter, 180* T-Stat, spark plugs/wires, cone filter, and cleaned the MAF and throttle body. I only run premium fuel. On a side note I did replace both front hub assemblies. It also has been having a rough idle once the car is warmed up. This is also very sporadic. The only person I found with a similar problem was on this forum but it was never said what caused the problem. Here is a link to the forum: http://www.grandprix.net/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=151317

Any advice would be much appreciative, thanks!

I had this problem and I had two problems, the connector at the throttle body was corroded, you can unplug and reconnect it a couple times and if it goes away for a while, clean and use electric grease when you go back together. Also had a vacuum line off that will shut down the throttle
