9 is a good price for that particular car....no mods, well cared for and not abused. BUT, as was mentioned above, you can get a newer LS car for around the same. you will like the convertable aspect for about a month. LOTS of cowl shake, hard to get to hook without sfc's, bags and of course a cage, which you'd need at the track anyhow since it's a drop-top. (depending on how fast you want to go of course)
i would get a t-top LS car that's already been modded. once a car has been modded, value plummets. then the owner wants to sell it and has to either sell at a huge loss (loss on the mods that is) or remove all the mods and sell as stock. and nobody wants to do all that work for nothing, so most guys take the financial loss and call it a day. i've seen supercharged vettes that run 11's for $25k. considering the car sells new for $40, then they dump another $10 into it and sell it for half of what they have into it, that's a massive loss. or gain, depending on which side of the table you are on!!!
now, if you want to buy a pristine LT car and have something that MAY keep it's value, the car you're looking at might work out..but if you want to have a fast car, buy one already done. imho
