ok so i just put a small system in my 97 malibu
mtx 4x6 in the front
kenwood excelon 6x9s' on the rear deck
kenwood head unit
clarion amp 4 channel

2 12" powerbass subs in a sealed enclosure
and a 980 watt power acoustic amp

i had it all installed by mickeyshoor because i dident want to freeze my *cough's* off. i got it done during their sale so it cost me 5 bucks to get all that installed

now the problem i have is the kenwood 6x9's keep blowing!!!!
i have the HPF on for the amp, bass boost is off on the amp 2, and they arent getting 2 much power...or 2 little.... they dont distort at all befor they blow, bass boost on the head unit is off and the bass setting is on -2
they just start makeing this.... it almost sounds liek a zappig noise
it almost sounds like it could be the tweeter????
their still under warrenty but its getting annoying haveing to keep takeing it back

this is the second time ive had to take my car back to get new speakers.

y does it keep doing this?!?!

Perhaps they wired something wrong or the amp is bad.

It sounds like it could be your amp. Make sure the amp's ohm ratings are the same as the speakers. Most def its the amplifier because if it did this 2 2 sets of brand new speakers its def the amp and not the speakers lol. Look into selling that clarion amp and purchasing a Alpine/Infinity/Hifonics or Kenwood 4 channel amplifier. The only other thing I could see wrong is they switch the positive and negative around on the speakers when they installed em? Maybe check that idk but u'd have to be a pretty stupid installer to do that.
