Well, there is an actual love bug. I'm more curious about this 'holy bug'. Locust?

I didnt hear locusts were supposed to be bad this year maybe im wrong.....but as for horticulture haha....
Locust is the swarming phase of short-horned grasshoppers of the family Acrididae. The origins and an apparent extinction of certain species of locust—some of which reached 6 inches (15 cm) in length—are unclear.
These are species that can breed rapidly under suitable conditions and subsequently become gregarious and migratory. They form bands as nymphs and swarms as adults — both of which can travel great distances, rapidly stripping fields and greatly damaging crops.

I think their life span is like 1 to 2 weeks, and all you see them doing is humping! And here is my ride covered in them from a trip from Tampa to Daytona beach, and they are usually covering your windshield and mirrors. If you leave them on longer than a day, you will be scubbing like crazy. I have begun to use a magic eraser. Then use a coat of wax and the next time you hit them, they come off easier. But they still leave behind something after yuo scrubbed them all off.
