Well not yet... I just picked her up today, Springfield Armory XDm black/black 9mm. I actually called the guy last night for a XDm in the .40 version but he didn't have any in stock so he would have to put in for a shipment. So I told him that I would come in and pay for it and then he would put in for the shipment. Right after work I drive out to his shop 40 miles away, (I was already getting a $100 off by going to his shop instead of the local shisters) and he ask me, you sure you dont want the 9mm. I was thinking about it all last night, because I have been lurking on the XDTalk.com forum and all i've been seeing is problems with the .40 XDm. So maybe it's a blessing in disguise... He said he would take another $30 off and throw in 100 rounds... I said DEAL!!! So it cost me $600 out the door for a 9mm pistol and accessories (mag loader, 2 mags, mag holster, gun holster, lock, case, and 2 different sized backstaps + the one on the gun) + $100 cheaper at his shop + $30 off + 100 9mm WWB. Plus I don't have to make another trip up there to pick up the other gun. Another $20 saved in gas. Not too bad a deal, Me and my buddy are gonna try shootin' our guns next weekend. Should be fun!!!

AAaacck!!!

Don't put your finger on the trigger until you're positioned to fire.... wink

Nice deal, you might want to start shopping around for a compact if you're planning on carrying concealed.

Check out midwayusa.com if you want to purchase ammo. They have pretty good prices, when they have ammo in stock. lol

Last I checked we had some 9mm Federal FMJ's at our local Walmart for $9 (50 box). I would like to get a hold of some Gold Dots or Hornadys for some defense ammuntion. Nice find on that website Ace. I might be purchasing some stuff from them like another magazine.

sorry about the flash, just wanted to show mine of now 2. smile the things that look like scratches are actually just the grease they put on it from the factory, I haven't had a chance to clean it up yet.

i know keep my finger off the trigger till ready to fire ^

2fast- Are you gonna be carrying your SR9? Also a good looking gun too, I was looking at the SR9 when I was searching for 9mm. I've looked into getting a IWB holster for mine. I'm not sure if i'll be capable of carrying my full sized pistol, but i'll probably just get a holster anyway. We're also allowed to open carry in Indiana too, but my next firearm will probably be some sort of sub-compact for CC purposes.

If your looking for IWB holster, look into
Crossbreed Supertuck - http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/IWB/tabid/56/CategoryID/1/List/0/Level/1/ProductID/1/Default.aspx?SortField=UnitCost+DESC%2cProductName

when i turn 21 i will be getting a CPL and its seems like it will be a good carry gun.
im thinking about doing some open carry to gauge reaction but i might just wait till next year since its starting to get cooler up here.

the one thing i don't like about it is the trigger pull its REALLY heavy. people on rugerforum.com say that with time it gets better but im still thinking about getting a trigger job done.

if i had the money i would end up getting a Taurus PT1911 .45 in addition to my SR9
my buddy has one and it is such a nice gun. for being such a tank it feels awesome.

i dont know if your in college or not but take a look at this group.
