Well I have a friend who wants to hall things on a trailer in his GT and needs a trailer hitch and cant seem to find one and only ones for SE. Is this because it is impossible with the low GT/GTP bumper to have a trailer hitch?

Nothing is impossible. Not sure about hitch availability on a GT I just know that GTPs have a tow rating of 0. Due to the high final gear.

I have a class I hitch from drawtite on mine that I ordered from Autozone cause they don't charge shipping and shipping from the internet would have been more money. I haul a 4x8 trailer with lumber, small fire wood, engines, other car parts etc. The drawbar for our cars is kinda strange

If the ball is not that high, the trailer is not level & hard to load. They also travel badly. I leave my ball & bar in all the time as it has kept a few bumpers from hitting me in parking lots.

I know where your coming from on that one. Someones trailer hitch went right into my front licence plate on my car when they were backing up, to bad I was the one with the damage:(

I have one but different one. It is for my SE model. I used have it on my summer car for put bike rack on it. When I got new GT/P rear bumper. I have to remove them out because it was block that way. but at least I do have other SE model. I will install them someday later. I love to riding moutain bike to wood park. I don't like cheap crappy bike rack that hook on the trunk. That's easy scratch the paint. Forget that so bike rack hitch is good to go for me.

Oh the install job is not that bad. All you have to drill 2 hole under metal bracket and remove 2 rubber thing holes where spare tire is sitting for bolt on. Very easy. It took me like 30 minutes.

Any onr know of used good hitches 4 sale, for my 97 gp se, I just picked up this trailer for my sm. landscaping bizness, sides just need re enforced floor and frame are in great shape, perfect. Perfect price "free".

I have used one but it is too small. I got rid of it because I have GT/P rear bumper on mine. Also my single exhaust is leaking so time to upgrade the special dual exhaust system that I got from junk yard. I use small hitch for bike rack. I don't think mine will support that large trailer you have.

Actually it looks big in pic, but its not that big or heavy, manually pulled it out of area with ease, where grass and black berry bushes buried it. every thing looks great. Just got to find a hitch, may have to go new.
