Hey anyone here about the possible Nissan, Renault, and GM marriage? Here is a link to the story. Any thoughts, good or bad?

It's probably what the automotive industry needs at this point, but it'll likely end up just hurting the consumer in the future.

I'm getting sick of mergers... banghead

I can't really see a domestic company like GM form with a foreign compant like Nissan. I don't want to see it at all, help GM or not.

I currently work for Nissan, and have worked for GM. A merger is a bad idea, both companies could loose money selling weed, or prostitutes

just remember that GM bought Isuzu a number of years ago for a few different reasons, and are now using Isuzu engines in their trucks (Duramax). IMO, good move on Gm's part for that one.

Didn't GM recently sell off their stake in Isuzu?

I don't know about all that, but I do know that my Suzuki was actually made by Chevy.
