maybe it is a silly topic but at the 97-03 forum someone mentioned about this and i'm curious.

I do not have a name for my car but my brothers call it "Rojote" it means "big red" not in the way of GREAT but lots of red everywhere, cause when i bought it and take it to my parents apartment i took it into the garage, it was all shiny, brilliant recently polished and waxed, so it was a kind of too-much-red in a very small garage.

I call my car "Kate", no reason...just seemed to fit.

"I will call him Squishy, and he shall be my Squishy!"

I wish I had a car to name right now. *miffed* My GT didn't really have a name, 'cept my friends called it Fatass every now and then. They're great linguists, as you can see ..

As I said in the other forum, when we went to pick up my car, my sister in law said "That is one sexy b*tch". So mine is just "Sexy b*tch".

"ThunderBat" came about as kind of an evolution. When I was zooming back and forth to New York dating my wife, she gave me a license plate frame that reads "My other car is the Batmobile" The Intrepid I owned at the time was a sedan and one day her daughter commented about how I gave them "taxi service" whenever I came to visit. So one day she dubbed my Intrepid the "Bat-Taxi"
Then not long after I started collecting diecast cars I came across a 1/18 version of Bill Elliott's NASCAR T-Bird painted up for the premier of "Batman Forever" and the front spoiler of the car read "ThunderBat" instead of "Thunderbird" and I actually looked for T-Bird when I gave my Intrepid to my son because I liked the name so much.
After no luck finding a T-Bird I liked, I set to looking for a black T/A with the intent of naming it "FireBat"...when that didnt pan out I ran across a navy blue 99 GP that I test drove...and I was absolutely smitten with the car...and even though I didnt buy that one (it got sold before I was ready) when I found my 2001 Black GT, I swear it was almost screaming to me "screw the Ford, I'll be your ThunderBat"

I still get people asking me all the time what my license plate means (THNDRBT)..."ThunderBolt?" is the most often asked followed by "this isnt a Thunderbird"...then a kid in a Honda Accord asked me one day if it ment "Thunderbutt"...my response was "watch my butt thunder away from your sh*t"...he got bumper on the holeshot but after 1st gear he had a clear view of my exhaust going away.

My old pick up was called Lucille, however she found out about my love affair with Cindy, so she left me. Cindy, my GTP and I hit it off on the first test drive. She really knew how to rev up my romantic motor. We shared three wonderful years together. Unfortunately, she was ripped away from me! Now, Krystal is in my life. i like her, she's a cheap one. Doesn't require premium fuel or many upgrades; all she really wants is a good cleaning every once in a while! Yeah, i know she's a little older, but thats how i like em, Used up, and experienced!
