I am puting a car up on ebay for sale and i want to choose paypal as an option for payment but it doesn't give it to me. Under the payment methods it has cashier's check, loan check, cash, personal check, and other. I put other at first but it just has you desribe the other type of payment and i know paypal should be an option because it recommends it.

But don't they have a help section where you can ask a question?

I've bought many things off ebaymotors using paypal, dont see why a car would be any different. Maybe its cuz a lot of seller got angry when paypal takes their cut of the transaction. I think they charge 3%, not a whole lot...but thats still $300 the seller wont get on a $10,000 sale.

I'd go with a certified check. Wont have to wait til it clears or paypal taking a percentage. I'm assuming since the car isnt really drivable they'd have to come to trailor it away, so they could give you cash too.

Are you willing to ship the car? That would most likely give you a better chance of selling at a higher price.

I think it may be something to do with having a "storefront" or something to allow you to use paypal...not sure though.

I wouldn't ever take paypal for a car... maybe as a small downpayment, then balance in cert. check on delivery.
Seen too many scams and screw-ups with paypal to throw that much mony around on it.
