The Texas Department of Transportation is conducting a weeklong vote that could decide whether Texans keep the current plate or choose one of four new, fancier designs. The new plate will come out in 2009. Whatever Texans choose, the new plates will add a seventh digit because the state is running out of six-digit combinations.

yep saw that on another forum voted for the "Lone Star Texas" as well. i actually saw it on a site that is based in houston called motohouston.com

Wow, I can't believe Lone Star Texas is in 4th...the others are so plain.

*EDIT* My bad, I missed the fact that there was SIX digits instead of five. laugh
