okay on my firebird my right headlight wont open now.... its just makes a nasty souning clanking sounds when it triesa to open while the left one opens. anybody have any ideas?

more then likely its the plastic gear that is used to raise and lower the light over time they tend to get striped. check google for firebird headlight gears and you should be able to find a set of metal replacement gears to fix the problem for good.

The gear indeed did strip. You can buy metal gear rebuild kits on eBay.


If he is smart enough he could hook up linear actuators to control the lights.
