This is my co-worker winning the first race of this video. His 67 Camaro is BAD. He has owned the car for over 25 years. It was his high school car that he started drag racing in the early 80s. Last I knew, the car would run low 9s if he goes all out. He is running the 10.9 class here so, he leaves at about 75% throttle so his launch and wheel spin are consistant and then after a preset time that he sets into his electronics the car goes full throttle. As the temperature wind and track conditions change, that preset time changes. It is not as easy as it seems. See that monster motor close the last 1/8th mile? You could even see the front end drop for a split second at the very end as he knew he was going to beat the guy, but did not want to break out. A .013 light too.

Bottom row, 2nd from the left is him.

Oh yeah, his daily driver is a turbo 350Z

That was pretty cool and a nice run:D I bet it is neat to see someone you know end up on ESPN 2 for drag racing.
