ok i found a ws6 hood on CL, but its about 2 hours away. im willing to make the trip, but have no idea how im gonna bring a hood back with me in my gtp. any ideas? i thought about just swapping hoods there and junking mine, but i want mine for winter. then i thought about going there with no hood but i dont think the state troopers would like that so much.

how about in an empty trunk? the trunks in these cars are monstrous, you might be able to fit it in there. maybe. could lay a blanket on the roof and strap a hood down that way, though you should really use some GOOD cargo straps. you MIGHT be able to wedge it in the backseat, but only if you have a sedan. borrow or rent a truck, I think something as small as a S-10 or Ranger would suffice.

A bonnet won't fit in the boot or back seat. LOL.

If you don't have a buddy with a truck just throw a blanket on the roof and set it on the roof.

Leaving the stock hood at home is an option. I wouldn't worry about the staties.

Lots of local people have driven with no hood to go pick one up. Just make sure the hood you're going to get isn't damaged and still has threads in the bolt holes.

Take your engine cover off so it doesn't fly off when driving. Other than that, it should all be good and you'll get a few looks on the road with no hood.
