WTT 12 Second 94 Firebird for GTP - 05/17/07 08:55 PM

As much as I hate to do it, I need a bigger more family oriented car. I love my Pontiac, and thought that a 97+ GTP would be just the trick. Im not picky at all, coupe, sedan, doesnt matter. High miles, low miles I am open. So I would like to trade my baby for a new baby and I know there is no better place to get a good car then from an enthusiest forum. So here is it:

The 18" American Racing Rebels are gone and replaced with Camaro salad shooters (60lbs lighter). The optidpsark is new (replaced along with the water pump in October with GMPP replacements.) Head gaskets were also replaced at that time. I'll throw in some 16" Cragar Soft 8s with MT DR's that have a total of 32 passes on them, a complete rear end bearing, and install kit, and some brand new 3.73s as well.

Car runs very well, and I love it. I am hoping there is someone here that would love to own a great car that is nicely cared for, and fairly well modded.

Thanks, but, uh, mine is plain stock. What you dont see are paint scrubs on the left body cladding (from my wife) and right rear bumper (from me) and all the pits on my front bumper from bug impacts. You wanna see some nice cars? AustinGTP, TBat, KansasGTP (now KansasGXP), 2muchspl, and a few others have some real nice visual mods done. But I sure do appreciate the props, man.

Details
The car has 161K miles on it. It is of course an auto, with 3.42 gears. As you can see it is clean inside and out. I have highlighted the areas where there are problems.

It runs strong, and is my daily driver. I got it from a military guy who took it on long trips from Mississippi to Indiana, and I have a hour long commute each way to work hence the high mileage. Good thing though is the car has been very well maintained. In the past 2 months it have gotten every filter changed from Fuel to tranny to oil, and air etc... every fluid has been changed to fully synthetic. Mobil 1 oil, Royal Purple ATF, Lucas Diff lube. Plugs are new, it has been seafoamed this past month, and is in really great shape. I scanned the car today and it had no trouble codes at all, as well as all the sensors were operating as they should. It has new breaks, rotors, wheel bearings, and seals. The optispark was replaced along with the water pump in October with GMPP replacements. Head gaskets were also replaced at that time.

Mechanically:
The rear end is loud, but as I mentioned I am including a brand new set of 3.73 gears, and complete install kit. I am not charging extra for them or parting them out. I got them for the car and want them to go with it. It already has a Summit Stud Girdle on the 10 bolt so it should be very strong once the new gears and bearing go in.

There is some lifter tick from the #8 cylinder. I don't know any Lets that don't have some lifter tick. I am not alarmed by it, but wanted you to know up front that it was there. Lifter kits can be had for $100ish.

inside
The rear seat belts have been removed, I have some to go in there if you would like them, if not I have a friend who needs them. They are missing 4 small bolts that attach the bracket to the seats ($3.00 in bolts?)

There is some wear on the drivers side carpet. There are no floormats in the car.

The headliner was hanging about an inch in the very front I reglued it this morning and its fine now. I included a picture of the piece hanging and hung in the pictures I have linked.

Bonus Items
As I mentioned I am including a brand new ring and pinion, and complete Ratech install kit, but I will also throw in two bottles of Lucas fully synthetic diff lube, and a set of Cragar Soft 8 Rims with Mickey Thompson DRs.

Other then those few things the car is very clean, well maintained, and capable. I absolutely love the car to death, but I need something more family oriented, and would like to stay in the Pontiac family. The GTP is a perfect fit for me and my family. I hope that I have answered any questions you have. If not please feel free to PM me any and I will do my best to answer them. If you require more pictures please let me know what you would like to see.
