It's not really simple like some people think. It's definitely doable (see my sig) but this is a list of everything you will need:

M90 Supercharger
L67 idler pullies (there's two of them)
L67 belt tensioner
L67 throttle body
33# injectors
L67 crank pulley
L67 MAP sensor
L67 heads
L67 LIM
L67 Valve Covers
L67 fuel rail
Head Bolts
Rocker Bolts
S/C Bolts
LIM Bolts
L36 to L67 wiring harness adapter kit
Vac lines (I used 7/64" rubber hose)
Coil pack bracket from a 97-98 GT/GTP
S/C belt
2 changes worth of oil/oil filters
2 gallons of coolant

Gaskets:
Head Gaskets
S/C gasket
TB gasket
LIM gasket
Valve Cover gaskets
Fuel rail o-rings

It's not THAT bad, trust me! Welcome to the forum.

Actually, a whole engine swap isn't that bad, I just decided to do a lot more things I didn't need to. Even some things I had to change you wouldn't with a 3800.

so say you had a gt and dropped a used l67 in it, would you need more then a re programed pcm , like wiring harness, o2 sensers ect?

You got it. You can order a l67 from a man named Ed Morad, and he will give you all you need in order for it to work. He has many GP's and he parts them out for people.

You can use your own wire harness, just get an adapter kit ($35). I think everything else will work.

I thought the transmission needed to be changed also?

Re: Converting to gtp - 06/08/07 02:03 PM

No, the transmissions are identical, except for the differential/gears. That has no bearing on it bolting up and working. However, the differential is a good idea for the extra power.

It wouldnt be a bad idea to do the HD tranny kit though
