You could use break cleaner to take the tint off and try again...

I will never understand why people want to reduce the ammount of light coming from your brake lights by tinting them. In todays world of distracted drivers I want red strobes for brake lights.

Anyway, most likely you will need to wetsand with 2000 gril paper and then buff them shiny. Best bet would be to go get a headlight polishing kit and go to work.

I used brake cleaner to take the clear coats and the VHT off of mine before I retinted them.

What the hell were you doing? How does it "clump"? Was it terrible clear or user error?

With this clear you have to apply it thick, so you get the orange peel feel, then you wet sand the hell out of it + some polish. Then youve got some VERY nice tails my friend

Hansen came over today to show me those tails, they were pretty botched, it did clump quite a bit. The humidity today really killed the new clear we put on.

Yeah, humidity really does a number on paint. That's why my car is delayed in getting the paint done frown
