ZZP 4T65E HD tranny... Worth it?? - 05/28/09 06:40 PM

So my stock 75K mile tranny is starting to slip (I think). It shifts perfectly for a bit, but after driving for a while it seems like it slips a bit going into first gear. I will be at a stop, then when I hit the gas to move it will rev a bit as if it were in neutral, then I will feel it grab and start to move. After driving a long time, it seems like it does this going into second gear from time to time as well. The fluid level is fine, so I'm assuming the clutches are starting to wear... I'm going to drive it into the ground, however I need to know which is the best way to go once it completely dies. Either way... I want to upgrade it. Whether it be buying a better torque converter, shift kit, etc. then having a local shop rebuild it, OR simply buying one from ZZP. So... my question is, does anyone have any experience with the ZZP 4T65E HD tranny?

ZZP transmissions are great, as are triple edge performance ones. Go with whatever you can get a deal on.

Triple edge seems to offer a better deal with a longer warrantee. When my trans finally craps out on I think I may give them some business. Hopefully it won't be for at least a few more thousand miles. Thanks guys

I just got one off tripleedge, couldn't be more pleased. Hopefully this one lasts a little while longer.
