govenor bypass/disable - 08/03/02 08:11 PM
I have a chance to buy a very nice '98 Grand Prix GT coupe with the non-supercharged 3.8 V-6 at a very good price. I really like the car, but the govenor is extremely annoying. I'm not looking for extra horsepower or acceleration, I just want more top speed. And yes, the car has nice H-rated tires, so there's no issue there.
What options do I have?
Thanks.

As far as i know, the only replacement PCM for the GT is the Digital Horsepower chip from Intense. In addition to removing the 105 mph limit, it does a few other go-fast upgrades like different shift points and remapped fuel/spark tables.
