zzp short stack IC serp belt size - 09/24/07 07:08 AM

so i got a SS intervooler kit from zzp.

great kit, however i didnt read the part about it dost come with a belt.
( stupid me )

so now im at a stand still we just put 20hrs in this project just to stop cause the belt wont fit.

can i get one from the dealer or will another serp belt fit...

any have a part number or an application i can cross with to get a pully at my local pepboys or checker?

I would contact ZZP and ask them what size belt to get.

Re: zzp short stack IC serp belt size - 09/24/07 07:51 AM

i tried, its 4am here, lol

it should be 7 there

ill try in a few hrs, i was just seeing if any have experienced a belt blow out and happen to know...

and the pasesetter headers crosover pipe sucks ass!!!!!!!! i copper rtv'd the whole kit....

im guessing the slp $800 header package would elimate the issue of the improper fitments.

Have I ever mentioned the low quality of pacesetters?

I'm up too at least 100, I stop counting after the first 10 threads on how pacesetters are.

i still think that the power gain by pacesetters trumps the crappy quality.

WELD THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a belt write-up on club GP

The belt size can be found on their website. I suggest still calling to verify.

SS IC with 3.2+ SS IC = Part number 25060670

How was the install?

Re: zzp short stack IC serp belt size - 09/24/07 04:10 PM

yes i know i have heard from everyone that the headers suck donkey balls for leaks etc....

im welding them, so im not too worried about leaks.

the install wasn't too bad over all.

ss kit had alot going on, but the instructions were straight fwd. im really glad i got the manifold,ss and SC from zzp. nice quality stuff!!!
along with the size of the intake port is more than 2x. it all went on fine. (we haven't fired it up yet because of the belt)

but all was LONG but well made and well documented for install..

everyone said to me that pacesetters are bad to use because of leaks, however nobody said it was going to intail hammering in the crossover pipe.

we had to hammer the elbow down a tad on the crossover pipe, the 3 bolts with nuts on the bottom part that had the corrugated flex on it (i believe it to be the DP)that was absolutely no fun at all!
other than that it was time consuming as hell on everything, but the worst part is the header, and pacesetter will be getting a letter from me. its like 2 degrees off in the bend

ill get that part number and report back with list of mods and how everything was!!!!!

Also anyone want to make a stink over the header to pasesetter about how badly built they are?
email them like 100 times would, im sure get them to get off their ass and do somthing about it!

just an idea

no, ZZP "fixed" them  remember.

I didnt have to hammer on mine, but i dont doubt it. and pretty much everyone knows that pacesetter is the cheap brand when it comes to headers in the 3800 community. You get what you pay for. I couldnt be happier with mine right now.

As far as the belt goes measure your old one say 94" then goto auto zone and ask for a belt 1" longer easy or drop a pulley size and use your old belt .Chico(pops))
