Help with power door lock

Hello, I've recently bought a used 1998 GP GT. I am having a problem with my drivers side door lock. The lock does not unlock when pressing either the key fob or button inside the car. Sometimes it takes 3 presses to get the door to unlock. My question is: Is this a difficult or expensive thing to repair? Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Maybe a stiff lock....You say after 3 tries it finally unlocks. Try watching the switch, if it looks like it's trying to unlock, but not succeeding, it probably needs some lube.I'd try shooting WD40 in the latch mechanism in the end of the door, if that didn't do it, I'd pull the panel and WD40 everything mechanical I could.

I had a similar problem with my rear window and it was not a slugginsh mechanism or the button but wires , you might have problems with connections and if it sounds big then maybe dont do it but removal of panel and checking out the door is a 30 minute job but you will be sure.
