sd spoiler - 06/09/08 10:47 PM

ok so im going to be getting my spoiler hopefully by saturday or monday. I asked a couple of people if it just bolts right into the stock holes and many people have said yes. Well i was curious if i had to drill any more holes for it so i asked the person that i bought it from and he said yes. My question is, do i HAVE to drill the holes in my trunklid or can i just use the stock 6 holes? I talked to Jeremy(boosten) and he said he didnt drill the 2 extra holes. With that said do you think i would be ok if i just covered up the holes in the spoiler somehow that it would be fine?

Wanna race for who got sd spoiler first? lol

You give me little scared that I thought I have to drill it like slp knockoff. Many people did say yes that it will fit on stock holes. I'm pretty sure you will okay with 6 bolted on. I'm not sure what is about extra 2 holes? I will have SD soon so I curious why extra holes is about? confused

the extra two holes are for the two front tips that are closest to the rear window.

im pretty sure that it bolts up to the stock bolt holes, but drilling a few holes isnt that difficult

I think mine will safe when I'm going 55 mph. If you are going like 110 mph then I'm sure it will snap out lol

I didnt drill the extra holes in mine and it has worked just fine...even at 100+mph around TMS laugh
Be aware tho that this spoiler leaves a slight area right in front uncovered where your factory spoiler was...when you do a test fit you will see what I mean. You'll have to decide then if touch up paint is required or if you can get by without it.

I took my stock spoiler off this past weekend right before it rained to see if there was any rust(and there wasnt!!! laugh ) and then i just washed the dirt lines off with some bug and tar remover w/ wax. Then i put 6 hose washers underneath it and then washed the hole car again! Thats good that i wont have to drill the holes. This way if something happens to the spoiler and i need to take it off i wont have to worry about those two holes being exposed. thanks for the help everyone!
