Right Climate Control Knob broke, help

So I felt the right a/c adjuster knob lately feeling loose. Well it finally fell off. I was off to a buddy's place and in a rush I tried to pop it on one handed leaning to the side. I broke the dang thing. I contacted Ed about the part here is what he said "your going to need the whole assembly. the knob is built into the assermbly. odd design, but you will see when you remove it." He said $50 shipped for the whole assembly. I didn't think I need the whole assebmly. Because I once disassembled the left knob and the whole unit when the blower motor resistor was shot (before I knew that the bmr controlled the speeds). The knob just comes right off. Any suggestions? Thanks

i had this on my old gt...is it just the round know itself, or the tab it attaches to?i bought the know from gm and it costed close to 20 bucks if i remember correctly...i just slid the new one on and it worked fine...

Yah, that is what I was thinking. You do the same thing I do when I spell "knob", we both spell it "know." I had to edit my post 4 times to fix them all, I kept missing them.

Yeah this recently happened to my car too. My dad works at a Caddy dealership so I got the part for like 4 bucks...hehe

If you've got the part number, it might be obtainable from GM Parts direct for a fair price.
