Wheel gap question - 05/02/02 03:26 PM

Right now I have 245/50/16 and there is a lot of wheel gap. My question is .. When I get 245/50/17's will this make the gap between the fender and tire look like it did when it was stock since its gonna be fairly close to the stock diameter or am I gonna have about the same?Just curious how its gonna look before I get lowering springs. Thanks

Unless you change the overall diameter of the tire+rim, the space between the fender lip and top of the tire will not change.

With your current tire setup (245-50-16), which is shorter than the stock diameter, you have actually increased the size of the gap.

The only thing that will alter this are lowering springs.

FWIW.
