Rear rotors - 04/14/06 07:59 PM
I am currently upgrading my rotors all around to slotted/drilled. I got the fronts done, but I am having a helluva time getting the rear rotors of after I took off the entire caliper assembly. Am I missing something, or do I just need to beat the ^%&( out of it?
Thanks!

Make sure your e-brake is disengaged.

yea I went out and tried that and it worked. I guess I didn't realize that the ebrake worked independently of the brake pads. Weird. Thanks!
Yep for those who don't know the rear rotors have a small drum brake assy. built in for the "E" brake. So when you pull them off you have to chock the wheels so the car won't roll and release the "E" brake to remove the rear rotors.

Once you get the rear rotor off, you'll see the e-brake shoes. It would be a good time to inspect them and make sure they don't need replacing, although they should be okay.
