Supchrg belt tensioner - 07/16/05 09:24 AM

Hello, I have deemed my superchrger belt tensioner bad, and have to replace it this weekend. The OEM runs @$130, and the Dayco from Autozone is $93. Should I go OEM?
Any tricks to installing this?
Thanks
I also read do not buy the gatorback belt, right?

Get the AutoZone one.

Tips for installing:
1. Take off belt
2. Unbolt old pulley
3. Bolt on new pulley
4. Replace belt

The new pulley will come with a bearing and grease so it's just a clean swap for the old one.

I have heard nothing bad about the Gatorback belts. I had one for a few years.

Where did you hear bad about a Gatorback? They are a little noisier but well worth it.

Change the idler pulley too. It's well worth it.
...and Gatorbacks are very good belts, less slipage.
