IPod connection to OEM head unit - 04/27/05 10:48 PM

So I think I'm gonna get an IPod, but I want to hook it up to my factory head unit. Is that even possible on an '02 GT ?

Good ole' FM modulator. That's what I use to get my XM through my stock HU.

Do you have a CD Changer? Yes, then PFYC.com has an AUX input adapter to use. If not, Austin is correct, seems the FM Mod is the only way for BOSE w/out CD Change. I have the Audiovox/Jensen XM radio, so I got an Audiovox FM switch/mod. The quality is acceptable, I would say it's clear FM Quality. I believe the connector for the XM FM Mods are usually 1/8" Mono. Other FM Mods come wireless and wired, some with RCA Inputs. The FM Mods for the XM Radios are good because they turn on when the radio turns on, but you would need an XM Radio to have it turn on. Most FM Mods come with a switch that you have to install somewhere. Wireless sound terrible in populated areas.

I'm using the Belkin FM Transmitter with my 40Gb iPod and factory a head unit at the moment. As soon as I save the extra loot I really want to upgrade to this nice Alpine unit.
Total iPod intergration... pretty reasonable price too.

Can I use that PFYC adapter on my 1997?
