Help with engine sputer

I have a 1997 GTP with 75000 miles on it...sometimes whenI start it (doesnt matter if its cold or warm) the engine sputters, the RPM's go between 200 and 500 when they usually are normal at 500...when I hit the gas and get the rpms up to about 2,000 then let up the car idles normal again. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be? Is it the plugs?....

if your not getting a ses light, then i would check your filters, air and FUEL. the latter being my guess. if that dosen't work then try running an injector cleaner or having them professional cleaned.
