Has anyone had an auto shop put a clear coat on their tails after tinting them? I know the water based ones are hard to put on the lights so ive heard

My tinted tail thread:

I did exactly what your asking about. I tinted the tails myself with some VHT (I didn't use much at all), and took to a body shop for a nice clear coat. This body shop I went to is the best body shop I've ever known and I go to them for all my work so they gave me a great discount and the guys work is amazing. Your results may vary but my tails look slightly tinted and have a OEM look w/ the clear. If you want a perfect reflection up close then get it done professionally. Also a professional job if done right will guarantee the clear coat for life of vehicle. Guy told me if the clear coat ever began coming off or anything he would fix them up for free.

Well notice U said U wanted to go darker so scuff with a red pad (scotch pad) then clear with a reduced amount of black ,or send them to me and I'll do them ,or take to a shop and explain what U want or U can respra- with nite shades and reclear ( sorr- for the spelling but mi ke-board has a broken whi )Chico(pops)

Junk yard is my best choice. When I help someone to get same price from my local junk yard. I believe this taillight cost $17.99 each. I took like 6 set of tailights and sell them as same price but you pay shipping. When I sold it. It is usually last me like 1 or 2 days until someone grab it. lol

I don't have them yet. Still no grand prix on junk yard yet. It will take times. Maybe bad snow storm will bring more gp in. wink

times infinity, and beyond. Pops is incredibly trustworthy. Never heard a discouraging word about his workmanship, either.
