rattling noise?!

ok so every now n then when i take off from a stop or just cruising at about 2300 rpms ill here a rapid rattling noise...it sounds like change but its not...lol..and i know its not a rod knock.....so when im cruising at about 2300 it comes and then goes away...then comes back and then i hit the gas and it goes away...it doesnt happen often...but id say about 5 times a day....cold it be the resinator?! and if so how do i go about either deleting it or repairing it?

is there a heat shield on top of ur cat or anything like that? if its ur res u'd have to replace it, its not a hole or else u'd know, so u cant muffler cement it. i wouldn't delete ur resonator, it gets rid of bad vibrations and makes ur exhaust a little quieter inside.

how would i go about doing so? n what do u think it would cost?

well do u know for sure its the resonator? have someone keep it at whatever rpm it makes the noise and get under ur car and have a look. find out where its comng from for sure first. no point in replacing an 80$ resonator if u dont need to.

If it's a loose heat shield on the cat, you can secure it with a couple of large stainless steel hose clamps...

My muffler rattles. I think the salt has finally gotten to it. It's on my to-do list after I get things painted and rubber for my rims.
