Sorry Binx, it just doesn't look like there are any 04+ owners around.

I had the brake squeak on my 04 - usually happened at low speeds first thing in the morning. The dealer said it was condensation on the brakes and not to worry, so I didn't.

I've had the exact opposite experience with the seats. In my 97 I'd be hurtin' for certain after about an hour but I drove for 4 hours straight in my 04 and leaped out like I'd just gone to the store laugh .

I had a 2002 cavalier frown It had squeaky brakes every morning. The dealership told me it was because the rotors had such a fine surface that a layer of rust would form overnight, the sound was it coming off.

Most brake noise comes from vibration, and as is for heavy metalics. Still it should not sound like their dragging. Check your E-Brake, see if its commonly over-looked. If by chance you remove the calipers, make sure the pins are greased. Thats another common problem. Gases can build up between the pad and the disc aswell, if you just cnt take the noise try purchasing a pad with a split down the middle.

Having a system can be exicting, etc. I know what your going through. But dont let it go too far because you can and will ruin your alt/battery. Try installing a capacitor or two. That will solve your problem.

The only problem I had with my '04 GTP was the right rotor went bad on me and that was a constant squeaking noise. But after I got it fixed it was fine. As for the seats I love mine, maybe it is your back??

i know how you feel about the seats i had a 2004 gt2 for 15 months and it was the worst car i have ever owned for driving on a trip. i am 6ft 6in tall and my 01 had more room in it. now i drive a 2004 regal ls. i like it much better.

I know you're not supposed to have a racing harness without a roll cage, but I want to install one more for looks. With the numerous child seat lockdown points in my GXP, can anyone recommend a 3 or 4-point harness? I've seen the snap end ones which I plan to use so I can take it out easily.

When I was a member in 97-99 I saw someone on the list that raced his white GTP who had a harness which went the back seat lockdown point. Can't remember who is was though.

Thanks,
Brian
