GT2 - 08/20/06 04:24 PM

First time on here, I am looking at buying an 04 GT2 or GTP. What is the difference and is there any difference between a GT2 and GT?
Thank you anyone who can answer these!! thumbsup

GTP is the supercharged engine and GT2 has the regualar 3.8 engine and it gets the same options like a sunroof, leather seats, chrome wheels and etc like the GTP.

Hopefully somebody else will tell you more about it.

yeah if the gtp is within your price range for both car cost and insurance cost then go with it, but if it is a little hi then the gt2 is a better buy over the reg gt

the gt2 has a bunch of options (things that are options for the gt anyway) that become standard. the actual proformance of it isn't really diff between the gt and gt2, but comparing them to gtp shows the gtp is better.

you could also look at the gxp too, and those are very nice

GXP is definately the way to go. Insurance is high but I think the power, great looks, etc. is worth the money.

as per edmunds.com:

The base GT1 comes with 16-inch wheels, foglights, a CD player, cruise control and power windows, mirrors and locks. The GT2 adds alloy wheels and a power driver seat, while opening up options like leather upholstery, a sunroof, an upgraded Monsoon stereo, a head-up display and satellite radio.

I have a GT2, and I bought it because I wanted leather, sunroof, and a premium stereo. While test driving, I found out it had the heads up display, a feature I enjoyed on my previous Pontiac, but wasn't sure if any other cars had it besides Pontiacs and Buicks. After I bought it, I realized that stereo is a 6CD.
