anyone know if there is a top end limiter on the non supercharged models? if so what is it and id there any way to remove it. I have under 1500 mi on my LS and havent had the balls to have it over about 100 yet... and i just did that on 696 wed night about 3am. wante dto have the engine properly broken in before i got up too hard on it

If I'm not mistaken, all the speed governors are based upon what tires the car comes with from the factory stock.

The GTs should be governed to 108 or so, while the GTP / Comp G are prolly governed to 126 or so, like the previous generation GPs.

straight on chew. the 3.8 impalas are the same 108 topend...just like my 04 gt 108. only difference is it doesnt fuel cut at topend now with the electronic gas pedal it just dont go faster no surging.

My Comp G was gov at 138. Now it is not Govd any more smile

But make sure you do not over speed your tires. They could blow. Check your tire mfg website for the max speed limit on your tires.
