Purchase a 2004 Grand Prix Now? - 11/09/05 08:05 AM

Hi! I am so glad that I have discovered this website. I am in the market for a Grand Prix, and I have come across one that is a silver 2004 GT. It is listed sale at a local Rental Car Company. It currently has 45,800 miles and is in great condition! They are asking 13,695. I know that this car is priced below KBB value (one of the incentives of buying from this company), but I was concerned about the mileage. It has passed their 109 point inspection, engine is super clean.Do you think this a reasonable price for this vehicle? It comes with 12 month warranty and 1 yr AAA Roadside assist. If so, I can grab it up today! Thanks in advance for all your comments!

GP's are great cars, but when I rent cars I am usually hard on them as probably most others are. Just something to think of, but if the price is right for ya then go for it. Have you found any others that you can compare to? Ebay is a good quick check, you need to be registered to view completed auctions though.

Thanks for the advice! I have decided to pass on this vehicle and search for another one. I ended up going to a Chevy Dealer and made an offer on a 2005 Grand Prix, 19,000 miles. It was also a former program vehicle, but it's much newer. I sat the saleman down, told him what I wanted and what I was willing to pay. He was hesitant, but I got what I wanted! 2005 Grand Prix, 19,200 miles, $14,990. That includes everything...tax, title, tags, warranty. I am psyched! Thanks a bunch!
