ac problem

here i go. another problem for me to fix on my grand prix. the recirc door in ac system is stuck closed. called tech assist and told me about a new door acuator to install. boy this is a fun one. ill be in touch when my part comes in and i fix it.

How did you know it was stuck?

you can tell if its not working by the sound of the blower motor and the amount of air flow coming out of the ac ducts. and also i tore my right side of my dash apart to view the operation of the fresh air door per the tech bulletin i got from my guys at gm tech assist. now i have to tear it all apart again when the 2 new accuators come in.

Why don't you let the dealer fix it. It should be under warranty

i am a gm mechanic i do all my own work on my car. just like to tell everyone else the info.

With you working at a dealer what is the average at cost cost for a GP just curious the company i work for is in the business partner deal with GM so i get discounts...

well the ac problem is fixed. by me of all people. being a gm mechanic gives you the chance to be able to fix silly crap like this in the first place.
for zachd. spec one out yourself on msn autos. it gives you the real invoice price and the msro too.

Sweet ass.....I have been wondering becuase right after i bought my gt i foudn i get them at cost plus 4% sucks but all well..maybe its better if i don't find out!
