Does anyone know if/when the Grand Prix GXP is arriving? I can't get a straight answer from anyone over here... Right now, am crossed between Grand Prix GXP, Bonneville GXP, and GTO. Nobody seems to have any pricing information for any of these.

The Bonnie GXP will be available in September 2003; since it is the only GXP so far approved for release, the Grand Prix GXP - if it is ever produced - may be in 2004 - 2005. DOn't hold your breath... confused

GM is recruiting engineers for the GXP line which, to me, indicates they're expecting other GXPs after the Bonneville.

I can not wait for that new car to come out. I can't wait to see one in person. The pics look awesome!

I'm with LL on this - I hope it's the start of something BIG! I don't really see why it can't or won't - given that the mods that the GXPs have aren't even that extreme. laugh savewave

Um... you don't think going from a V6 to a V8 an extreme mod?

I believe you are incorrect vortech, The Bonnie is the only car to get the V8 engine, the Grand Prix, to my knowledge, is still keeping the Series III 3800 Supercharged V6 it has always had.

Hello,

From Pontiac.com

The Grand Prix GXP
"Supercharged 3800 285 hp V6
Hydra-Matic 4T65-E automatic transmission with floor-mounted shifter and steering wheel TAPshift
Cinch-down lap belts and shoulder belts
180 MPH speedometer
GXP-specific 18-inch forged aluminum wheels"

Yep, the Bonneville is the only really extreme model. Every other GXP I've read about is just like mods you could have done on your own. Like Crimpton's post demonstrates. I guess we'll have to wait and see cheers savewave

Quite honestly, if they didn't do it now, then they probably won't for another 5-6 years... no
That sucks, but that's how life is... if you want a V8, you'll have to get a bonneville...
Well, you could get that GTO ya know? That would be NICE.... laugh

Anyway, 'til later

Not sure how much the bonnie GXP will retail for but if its as much as I'm thinking it will be - I would rather get a used Cadillac STS. At least then I'd be getting the real NORTHSTAR and not a detuned one (I think the Bonnie GXP will be akin to the Olds Aurora V8 - it's based on the Northstar but not as powerful).
