Do not like the GTO autocross. Too goofy with the body kit. Not saying I would not own one but the TA was eliminated and the GTO is supposed to have "smooth" styling cues like the old days. Not look like the retro but suttle styling. Just my $0.02.. the autocross is too steroids for me. All show no go kind of looking.

Anyone know which tranny this motor will have? Isnt the 4t80e setup the same as the 4t65 if so it wont work because the accry line is wrong.......maybe im just confused.

I'm guessing it will have a 4T65-E, as the 4T80-E unit is much wider than the 65-E. (At least so I hear) From what I remember, the 4T80-E wouldn't fit with the V6 motor, so I have no doubts it wouldn't fit with the V8 either. Is the Bonny really that much wider? I remember the Bonny GXP has the 4T80-E tranny.

By looking at the picture, I suppose it's always possible that this isn't a photo of the actual engine in the GXP, just one of the crate engines or something, which happened to be destined for a RWD longitudinal(sp?) application...

Is it possible to mount the engine this way, and simply put the tranny on the other side, and simply swap the Left and Right Half-Shafts?

Maybe one of our Canadian brothers can jump the fence at Oshowa, and open the hood, and snap a picture  wink laugh

I dont see the 4t65 being in it unless they seriously beef it up. With all th GTP'ers' out there with anything 300 + tearing them up i think they would have to have something. Someone needs to jump the fence.

I'd jump the fence, but I'm still a little too far away - Chico's closer!! I nominate him!

No jumping fences necessary. On another GP board, I found pictures of the engine compartment, as well as the sign, showing off the features. I thought it was awkward how the front tires are bigger than the ones out back...
