I heard stories of fire-sales of GTO's on the east coast for under invoice, or something close to it...

Well, I just cruised over to the local Pontiac dealer over here. And they are still marked at MSRP + $3500, which is better than the MSRP + $10,000 they were earlier this year, but still...

Usually, these dealers here offer Costco members $500 over invoice. But MSRP + $3500 IS their Costco Member price.

Here the dealers are selling the GTO for $3500 Rebate plus an additional $1000 if you finance thru GMAC.

You sure it was not a $3500 rebate?

Unless the Dealer it adding the $3500 to offset the $3500 rebate.

I can tell you I got my GTO for wayyyyy less than the advertised $33K

Yeah, it was a side sticker, that said, "Market Value Adjustment".

The final price for the car was $36 and some change. The original MSRP was $33 and some change. They said this was their "Costco Member's Price"
