Anyone know of any articles that speak negatively on aftermarket vehicle mods. I remember watching an MTV documentary on modding/street racing, but couldn't find it. Thanks yall.

Try and find something about the "Tornado" if you're looking for negative aftermarket mods.

Do a search for vehicle modification bills in California. I know a few years ago some group was trying to get any performance adding aftermarket parts illegal on a street legal car.

Might wanna look into policies in other countries where they might be completely banned or forced to be reported, etc...

i remember the MTV documentary but i dont remember what it was called. Like some one said check on the California laws on modifications. I know a few of them are a little crazy. One is if you cars headlights are lower then 22" you car gets impounded. I believe if there are certain engine mods then it can be impounded but i dont remember which ones.

my friend used to live in hawaii and he told me some stuff about how you had to get your mods approved or something like that before you could do it. He told me about it a while ago and I cant really remember much about it. I figured I'm never gonna live there, so it doesnt apply to me.

Bottom part of the article lists some of the more common things people do to their vehicles that affect their gas mileage, etc.

Good luck with your paper. laugh
