drove an LS1 home today....

too bad it wasn't mine! my dad finally got another trans am after years of talking about it.

2001 pewter metallic? color, 57K, black leather, monsoon sound, all stock (the way he wants it)

pops was nice enough to let me drive it home as a thank you for driving him there

and don't worry, he paid a ton less for it than the advertised price. I'm trying to convince him to get lots of upgrades for it...but he just wants to keep it stock and have fun driving it in the summer. Which is cool, as long as he lets me drive it a bunch!

T-Tops in the summer. AWESOME!

Pop has to at least do exhaust, tint and an old guys rule sticker.

I don't like that color, but I love the car. Sounds like he got a good deal on it, too.

that wasn't his first color choice either (actually fourth behind black, midnight blue, forest green), but it had everything else he wanted. he doesn't want any aftermarket exhaust (says he getting too old for that loud noise) and doesn't like tinted windows. He wasn't going to do ANYTHING, but I think so far I've got him to at least get a K&N filter, I'm trying to work him on a slp airbox, but he keeps saying...I want it stock, I want it stock

I'm hoping 5 years from now I'll be teaching at an awesome district that pays a lot more and have some spare cash to buy it from him, keep the gtp as a sweet daily driver and the t/a as a built up weekend car....

The dealership I used to work for, the owner took the ram air firebird as his car, convert black And I would have No problem owning that car,
And having you drive it home..awesome!

hey i got a shirt with that written on the pocket and it says it under a 32 on the back, is it ok to ware if im only 20? lol, way to go on the find and i bet if you talk to your father he will gladly drive it until you buy it from him lol

Tell your pops to put some corvette rims on it. Alot of people around here with the trans am, camaro's put those 19inch chrome corvette rims on and it looks very nice.
