what does it even do ?? other than a keybord what are the extra buttons

looks like every key is actually a screen, like a mini tv. OLED is the latest technology and you'll soon see full sized screens for sale much like LCD and plasma. They're supposed to have a better image quality and what not, but i doubt it matters when the screens are less than an inch in size.

Sony made an 11'' OLED tv. The screen is only 3mm thick. They want $2500 for it though.

thats crazy....i dont get the keyboard as much but a tv 3mm thick ould be awsome....putting it on a wall would look like when people set them into walls but without havign to do it....prob gunna cost over 20k haha

I could see this being used for businesses, where you could label the buttons for specific tasks and could change them on a whim. For the typical user? Nah.

Eh kind of dumb in my opinion.

its doesn't make your computer run faster or make a more accessible interface. really it just would make computer nerds (like me) angry especially since it doesn't support linux

I wonder if the little screen experience any burn in like any other tv/monitor would with the same image displayed all the time.

I doubt it since the power to project an image that small is significantly less then that of an entire plasma screen...(i could be wrong though it could happen, idk)

Pretty soon one of these days in the near future you'll see this type of product on sale at walmart for 30bucks at the rate technology is going.

i guess im the only harry potter geek here that clicked on the FAQ link since i noticed one of the keys is displaying the definition for a Horcrux. cool keyboard it would be nice to have a "good" keyboard that i could change on the fly for all of the games i play. or to just have set up to flash a big picture across all the keys but other then that i really dont see a reason for me to own one plus there is the fact that it close at 1,500 used and sells for 1564.72 new

No burn in they are OLEDs (Organic LEDs). The light output will only degrade as time goes by.
