but um today i put subs in my gp just 1 alpine 12' Type R

and when it hits it like "pings" does that mean it faulty?

all of that for a car your going to sell for a truck ?

idk what im gunna do i gotta find a good truck....that blue one was rusted bad....he lived on highway 30..nick shulte was his name..wanted to much for its condition.....gps staying for a long time

Subwoofer ping? What? Are you talking about delay between when the sub should hit and when it actually hits? There shouldn't be latency between that the sub should hit, even crappy subs hit at the right times. 1 Type R will do it and be loud but make sure to get an amp powerful enough to support the Type R's, there power hungry and will blow if u dont feed them the RMS level. But really should focus on what ur going to do cause I'd hate to see u purchase loud car stereo only to sell it after a month when you see a cool truck ya know?

its underpowered i found that out i took the amp bkac and they gave me credit at the place i went to and i got another amp and its sounds right now.. its pretty loud...nothing likes bens king kong in the trunk lol

Oh i misread the post im sorry. What ended up being the problem?

something in the amp was malfunctioning causing it to make a weird noise in the sub...idk exatly they got all tecnical on me and i got lost i just said how much and was on my way lol

I've had a similar issue with Power Acoustik amps from Best Buy, ended up staying away from them and always will now. Had way to many products go bad from best buy that I shoulda filed a lawsuit kinda like how I gotta get on the ppl who used an image of my car's fender to advertise their product without asking me >.>

In all stay away from best buy unless you can get a good deal (rarley the case).

That Solo X is one killer sub I agree. Rattling the car is one thing but when you start flexing windows and panels I must agree that is bit much. I have 2 Orion HP12D4 in a slot port box on a Memphis 1000D. I wanna go louder. But the only way I can see is if I had a truck.

yeah in a truck its cool and they can take the rattle being their built tougher

my bud has 02 silverado and has 2 12" diamond subs under the rear seat and it bangs like mother-Fudgee(happy )the handles on his truck move and his mirror goes down and its crazy....my sun is perfect for me where it can bump when i want to listen to some rap or some bassey rock( bad bad girlfriend)<-------if you like rock yuo tube this song omg its awsome on subs but it really makes all my music sound better
