got the deal on my car

ive talked to countless chiefs and officers at my command and ive done so much research and i found an old article in the UCMJ ( uniform code of military justice ) that states " any damage done to ones property on a military base without an accused offender will be paid for in full by that base.

basicly if any of you remember over the last few months my car has been vandalised many times.

- started with bubble gum on the window and a soda dumped on the hood in 100 degree heat

- then my back bumper got kicked off. it was hanging about 2 inches low and a dented cracked foot mark inside the rear license plate indent.

- then 2 deep 3 inch key marks they go down to bare metal

- and to finnish it all off a large 3 foot key mark from one side of the spoiler to the other side.

i was getting pissed and security basicly told me i was screwed case there was no security cameras in my barracks parking lot.

so i decided to try and do it myself. i used my chain of command and i got 3 chiefs and 5 officers from my command involved and showed them what i found in the UCMJ.

sooo from what my chief told me the base has to pay for the damages on my car and he said that they will most likely just repaint my car.

i guess things work out after all.

what article was that? It wasnt in the punitive articles, was it? I've been searching for YEARS and couldnt find it. Everyone talks about it, but no one ever comes with proof. EXCELLENT FIND!!! You have the makings of an excellent NCO.
