Sorry I've been away so long, but now that its race season I will be creeping around a little more smile
hows everyone doing?
not much has changed with me or my car since the last time I was logged on besides blowing a diff out of my trans, I don't remember if I posted about that lol.
I am still stuck on a gen 3 s/c and the 1/4 time is 11.87

Heya, 2Fast! Good to have you back. What brought you back? That wicked trike on FB? Either way, good to see ya back. Warning: Though this site has become quite a bit more active in the last month, it's still but a shade of its former glory.

Re: back again - 03/05/13 01:27 PM

Wow. I haven't been here in almost a year.

I got rid of my GP in '11 and got a camaro. More hp but it doesn't compare to the Gen V torque. I didn't feel it anymore anyway as the engine had intake leaks. It had 240k before I sold it.

I don't think about it much as little things were starting to go on it that annoyed me. But hey, it was 13 yrs old.

Re: back again - 03/06/13 10:46 PM

i miss all the old people, the gtp board is just dead compared to the way it used to be frown

Re: back again - 03/16/13 03:17 PM

What old people?

Re: back again - 04/07/13 12:06 PM

it went downhill fast.

Re: back again - 07/17/13 03:38 PM

I sold my silver GP 2+ years ago but its still in the family and kickin! Picked up a truck 4 years ago and a 350z 2 years ago. Still working on my mazda/L67 project (5 years now, sitting most of it).

I still surf craigslist for grand prix stuff, and anyone with a 3800 I beg them to mod it. haha.

Re: back again - 07/17/13 03:43 PM

When my post count reaches 3800, I will sign off and never post again.

Re: back again - 07/17/13 05:58 PM

why's that?

Re: back again - 07/21/13 10:38 AM

I haven't posted in a long while either. Thought I'd pop in and see who's still here. A lot of familiar names, but a lot less activity it seems.
I've still got my 03, and still love her. Doesn't get driven very often these days. I've got a 2004 Corvette and 2012 GMC Terrain that get more road time.

Re: back again - 07/22/13 09:00 AM

Yeah, this place isn't even a shadow of what it used to be. The only reason I want to see this site survive is because of all the information it holds. Glad to see you're still well and kicking.

Re: back again - 07/23/13 08:26 PM

And one by one they slowly start to trickle back in...
181,000 miles and still driving. Windows don't work, A/C doesn't work. Lucky I only work 5 minutes from home.

laugh

Re: back again - 07/24/13 11:38 AM

only 181? I'm up at 202 and might as well be half that.

Re: back again - 07/24/13 02:06 PM

I'm putting so few miles on my car, I have officially entered the "once a year" oil change. In August I get it inspected, oil change & tire balance/rotation all in one stop.

Re: back again - 07/25/13 04:45 PM

Have you ever replaced the power steering pump?
Posted by: zuulmusic

Re: back again - 10/04/16 02:49 PM

any of ya'll still have you GPs? =)
Posted by: Richard Candelario

Re: back again - 10/20/16 07:08 PM

sure do! you? I still have both of L36s, matter of fact. a hit-and-run in a parking lot totaled my F-Body a few months ago, but it was only plastic panels and paint. $1600. that's all it took to total the car.

just wanted to say hi since my last post has been over 9-10 years ago

Dear visitors,

Yeah, folks still pay attention to this site.

Re: back again - 02/25/17 12:44 PM

I have re-acquired my old 2001 gt and it is in my garage with the following issues:
-leaky transmission oil line needs replaced
-leaky rear brake lines, almost done replacing
-fuel line ruptured in multiple areas, probably replacing entire line
-lots of cosmetic stuff
-underbody rust severe enough I should probably junk the car.
18x,xxx and drivetrain still solid!

In other news (or lack thereof), I still have the RX-7 sitting in the back of the garage with an L67 swap 20% complete... got a diesel VW that they will be buying back soon due to dieselgate, a diesel dodge ram (5.9), and picked up a 370z last fall ;-) (sold 350z over a year ago)

Re: back again - 02/27/17 11:41 AM

I was expecting that GT to be like GONE gone. What's taking the RX-7 so long to be completed? How much do you think the repairs on the GT is going to cost? Good to hear from ya, man.

Wow, this place is still alive!
Posted by: Richard Candelario

Re: back again - 01/01/18 12:54 PM

barely, but yeah. I swing through here every few days to see if something came up. more often than not, it's silent. kinda like what I'd imagine an immortal would feel like guarding a library or crypt in an Indiana Jones flick.

Re: back again - 08/19/18 12:26 AM

well, howdy! glad to see you still have her. my 2000 is waiting on Delco to stop screwing Summit so I can try to be done with this steering rack. and for this goddamn troll bot to move on from our esteemed internet home.

Re: back again - 12/30/19 09:58 PM

what happened to this site?
Posted by: Richard Candelario

Re: back again - 05/23/20 11:06 AM

without good admins, the place was overrun by spambots. it seems that our own version of Cheers is officially dead.

Wow... I drop in to find something real quick and find that I walked into a ghost town with a few souls that refuse to let the town die.

Re: back again - 07/28/20 11:23 AM

yeah, man, pretty much.
