GXP Replacement Tires - 10/12/07 03:42 PM

So folks, what have you gone with after the original rubber was toast?

I'm thinking of Toyo, but I'd like to know what your results have been.

Please specify if you went with the OEM sizes provided on the GXP.

What Make, Model and price per tire?

Performance Results: Better? or Worse? (than originals).

Thanks in advance.

Looking at tirerack.com it looks loke your choices are extremely limited. Goodyear makes a Goodyear F1 all season that looks good. How many miles and what kind of tires are on it now? Does it really have different size tires front and back? I would try the front tires on teh back, to see if they fit if they are different. Then your options are wide open with 1 size tire.

Has anyone put all the same size tires on this car yet? Just wondering what they thought of it. It would be nice to be able to rotate tires.

The stock 18" front rims are offset more than the back so you cannot rotate front to back.

I bought 17" steel rims for the winter with the same size Michelin X-Ice tires on all four corners. These I can rotate front to back, but they are directional so I cannot rotate side to side.

You cannot win with this car.
