I had that EXACT same issue... my right front tire grew a bubble in the back, causing the tire to be off balance

...also, maybe one of your wheel weights fell off, that would cause it to happen all of a sudden...

My moms car was doing that and she had a big bubble/bump on the middle of here tire. I don't know how it happen, guess just a defective tire.
Just like they said, you might need a alignment or wheel balance, or maybe tie rods going bad. Mine use to wobble and it was because my tie rods were bad and I needed all 4 wheels balance.

Snow in your rims can screw up your balance.
Check for snow, check for bulges, and check to make sure the weights are still there.

I would have the tires checked out just to be on the safe side. It could be a safety thing. My mom's Explorer got a bad tire once that started acting like that, and it was due to the tread separating (whatever that means). The tire had to be replaced.
Even if it's not something like that, don't sell a possibly defective car to someone else, that's just a jack*** thing to do. You wouldn't want it done to you, would you?

Agree with Acefighter. Go read my Update on Belen thread. Dont sell a bad car to someone.

You can also be sued for failing to disclose. You might be able to claim ignorance for this, but a bad paint job, for example, is fair game.

Tread seperation- the plys in the tires actually start to either seperate from each other or break apart themselves making the tread split.
For a few years there were hundreds possibly thousands of recalls on Explorer tires. Ford really screwed up using the tires they knew were bad.

It wasn't so much the tires were bad as it was that Ford was underinflating them.

People go all the time with underinflated tires. Most of the time without knowing the difference. But you have to have something wrong with the tire itself to have THAT many recalls on the tires.
If it was as simple as underinflation they could have left messages or sent mail out going "Hey, put more air in your tires." Heck, a 10 second commercial would have worked as well.
The tires were bad and they knew it. Ford put the tires on the cars and kept it hush hush. It wasnt untill multiple major accidents occured and they were about to get sued that they issued the recalls.

I'm pretty sure there were plenty of other vehicles on the road with those same tires that weren't having the same degree of problem, but I could be wrong.

Firestone has had a LONG LONG LONG history of bad tires and tread seperating issues. All I know is I will NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER own a set of firestone tires.

I have firestones on my Jeep. 50,000 miles and no problems. Ford knew the tires were crap and put them on anyway.

Firestone has had a LONG LONG LONG history of bad tires and tread seperating issues. All I know is I will NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER own a set of firestone tires. [/b]At one time, in Savannah, I had Bridgestone BT70S on Colleen, and am riding on Bridestone Potenzas now. Both models of tires have seen duty in New Mexico, and the Potenzas had seen summer duty in Phoenix. Not even a small inkling of an idea of wanting to maybe go bad. I dont completely agree with that statement, but with a multi-industry recall, there is obviously a fault somewhere.
