This is just stupid! Are there no window motors for these cars that work? I replaced my driver's window a month ago, give or take a few days. And when I got home tonight, it didn't want to go up more than a few inches. It would go down, but I had to force it up. After I forced it half way it went up on it's own.

I have had all four window motors go out within a year, and when this one fully goes out, this ONE window will have gone through THREE MOTORS in about a year!!

I am about ready to sell this car and buy something, ANYTHING else. I can't get ahead because I'm always fixing (and re-fixing) crap on this car.

Sorry, I had to rant. This is just infuriating. One of you guys needs to start making & selling your own motors that actually work. banghead

I gotto say I do'nt know if I'm just lucky or my maintenance works,I lube the window runners ,cables and such with a graphite spray lube every couple of years and I'm still on the original window assemblies.Chico(pops)

Clean the tracks and window and lube everything up. I too thought mine was dead but when the cable snapped off the runner the motor worked fine. I think the built safety feature for the windows is a tad on the soft side. And the slightest resistance tells the motors not to run.

If you're replacing the motor and regulator, be sure to use the correct tightening sequence: Topic: OK...now I\'m ticked! Hope that helps! hammer

Wow, I must be lucky. I have had no problems with any of my windows other than the masterswitch on the driver door and that was an easy fix. Maybe you over look something. Try blackarrow link and hopefully you will be successful.

Would I lube it up with anything in particular?

The ebay window regulators are horrible quality. Buy a OEM regulator and clean the tracks before you mount it. you will be happy after that.

I have no problem with mine. Mine was dead on front pass side. I went to junk yard to grab OEM window motor only. It is working great since then. I don't have any problem with my window regulators. If winter regulator is dead then I can grab my local junk yard for 15 buck. laugh

Sound like your car have a bad luck or maybe you are doing wrong? wink

1. Go to junkyard
2. Remove a window motor from a busted-*** gp
3. Take new, old motor home.
4. ????
5. PROFIT!

Have had my car for almost 3 years. No problems with any window motors or switches yet. Hope I didn't just jynx myself...
