I need new wiper blades for my 2002 Grand Prix Gt. Do you recommend buying the whole blade assembly or just the wiper strips. How much are they at the dealer??
Do they snap out or do you pull the blade straight out?? Whats the trick to changing them???

Go to Advanced Auto. They will replace them for you. Watch and learn for next time. Do not buy the cheap blades. I normally buy Bosch. I don't think you can buy just the inserts with factory blades. You may ave to buy aftermarket first and then get inserts after that. I have yet to change blades on my 03 (I just bought it) or my wife's 04 Monte.

I run either Michelin or RainX blades. Cant go wrong with them, IMO.

Any Auto store, buy a good set of the whole blade. There is a little release that you press to get the old on off(they click on). If you don't know, most Parts People will put them on for you. Now that this topic came up, it reminds me I need new blades too.

Just a rumor, but be careful, I have heard some Auto parts store associates installing wiper blades and breaking stuff, like windshields, and they aren't liable. They aren't hard to do anyways.

I've found them cheapest at Walmart.

I got a set of the Bosch Micro-Edge (or something like that) and I really like them. They were somewhat expensive ($11 each) but they have been well worth the money.
Easy to install yourself, too. Once you do it you'll see for yourself.

I got some Anco blades, they were just what I was looking for, specially designed so the air flows thru them better. My old ones were always lifting and missing spots when I was over 65 mph. Anco makes cheap ones too, but these are real good and still only like $7. Got mine at Mills FLeet Farm, but I'm pretty sure Walmart has them too. Don't go to a dealer for anything unless you have big $ to spend willy nilly.
