Well, recently a friend of mine bought a SuperCharger from a member of this Bulletin Board. I gave her confidence that the member had been posting for quite some time, and it should be an honest deal.

Today we tore down her engine, not only to replace the SuperCharger, but the LIM gaskets at the same time. Once everything was coming together we decided it was time to remove what appeared to be a 3.25" and replace it with the 3.4" that was on her original blower. Everything was going great until the pulley came off the shaft along with the seal... confused
It didn't take long to realize that the front bearing on the snout was to far forward for the seal to get far enough back to find it's seat.
Not sure what kind of equipment was used to do this, but I know the damage was done prior to getting into our hands. The car still isn't running, I've got to go back tomorrow and finish it up.

I try to help everybody out, but instances like this will most likely keep me from doing so in the future.

I just want to say thanks to the individual who charged my friend $250 for an inferior product..... You know who you are, and so do I.

That really blows, there should be some kind of policy in place that will result in that member being removed from the site. Knowingly selling broken parts isnt cool at all.

is that suppose to be a threat? the least you can do is reveal the person's name so everyone knows not to buy anything from them.

I agree, ask for your money back...hopefully it was an honest mistake and it'll end there. If not...well, let us know who so we can avoid dealing with them.
