when im on the highway making a some what hard turn it feels like the car floats to the outside of the lane. i especially notice it when the turn goes directly from one side to the other. I think the best way to describe it is that it feels like all the tires are really low, except of course they are not. i just replaced the front sway bar links and noticed the bushings seemed pretty shot, could this be the issue? any other culprits?

I'd guess it's time for new struts.

New struts may be in order, GMPP handling kit, strut tower supports.
All the above will improve handling greatly.

I had this problem, I change the struts and it got better but I still felt something, then I revised this rear bars (don't know the name), that goes to the wheel and one of them was bent, you can see it at this pic.
They fixed it and that was it.

This is Herc's car and it looks straight

This was mine you could see the difference.

Hope it helps

i just did the struts last summer (KYB) love 'em that made a great deal of difference just like ALex said but it still feels just a little sloppy. I think im gonna order a new front sway bar and bushings and find out what those rear pieces are. i also will be ordering my a cone filter here in the next couple weeks. let the summer mods begin!

thanks for the input guys.
