I think thats a little wide for 6.5 rim...definitely gonna have the "pulled in" sidewall look goin on. I've got 225/60/15 on my Sebring with 6.5 wide rims and they are still sloping in just a bit...I'm sure another 10mm per side wouldnt make it any better.

okay, well would sharp turns and high speed make them want to pop off or blow or whatever or would it be the same but just have more puff to them?

i won't do those often but i want to test my new handling kit and i can't with my bald tires i have now

if your sidewalls are pulled in too far then when you inflate to recommended pressure you wont be getting your full "footprint" as the tire will actually round up at the sides. So you wind up not getting the full benefit from your wider tire. If you run the pressure softer then you may get the opposite effect of it tunneling in the center plus you run the risk of a bead coming unseated in hard cornering. I think you would find that a 235 tire will handle just as well and fit slightly better. I wouldnt put a 245 on anything smaller than a 7in rim (but I would prefer an 8in,or at least a 7.5)

This is the issue I have been having trying to find an 8in wheel with correct offset in 15in for the 245/60 RWL tires I wanted to get...havent had much luck in that dept unless I want to pay over $200 per wheel for Centerlines.

16s and 17s are much more widely available in those widths. Or you can look for used set of 04 CompG wheels which I believe are 17x7.
(or do you already have the 245/60/16 tires?)
